Overview:
Our client is a leading ICT distribution business looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to support and grow a key enterprise infrastructure portfolio from its Midrand operation. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role sitting at the intersection of technology, solution design and commercial sales. You’ll work closely with customers, partners and internal sales teams to understand technical requirements, design enterprise infrastructure solutions and translate complex environments into commercially viable configurations.
You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from initial discovery and solution architecture through to Bills of Materials, quotations, technical validation, order placement and fulfilment. The role also carries a strong enablement component, with responsibility for presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, product training and helping sales teams and partners confidently position the portfolio. The environment spans enterprise compute, storage, networking, virtualisation, backup, hyper-converged infrastructure and cloud. This makes it a strong opportunity for a technically credible pre-sales professional who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges while still understanding the commercial outcome behind the solution.
